I thought I might talk about the music that I post on occasion. Because I am a beautiful snowflake and the world aches to study every corner of my crystalline form.
This is a song that for reasons unknown to me, I’ve decided to title “Nebu.” It IS a word that means something, actually. In fact it’s ancient Egyptian for “gold” or so a cursory google search after picking the title has lead me to believe. I don’t really think that intention precludes meaning, so I’ve decided that the title does have something to do with the song itself, although I’m not sure what.
It’s always nice to pretend to have some kind of plan. It makes you look more credible, like you know what you’re doing and not just making everything up as you go along. I’d like to say that making and ambient/drum and bass song was something that I cooked up and set myself upon, but that wouldn’t be particularly true. Basically I stitched together a breakbeat and went about figuring what should go with it, which isn’t entirely guesswork.
Needless to say, for me, pretty music with a sad girl voice over it is like a cheeseburger with bacon. Meaning that I like it quite a bit.
It shouldn’t be too difficult to figure what the sad girl sample is from exactly, but you get a hearty thumbs up if you know!
